Dr. Demler was born in Kentucky and received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Florida Shands Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident in urology.

He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the candidate group of the American College of Surgeons. He is published locally and in the Journal of Urology.

Dr. Demler has served as Chief of Urology at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and as Chief of Surgery at Doctors Hospital.
